Tricky Tip #1: The Book
The last thing you need on an already irritating period is for you to be walking down the hall at school, your crush two paces behind you. The slightest bump. And your pad or tampon falls out of your pocket for the entire school to see. Oops! Though this scenario is extremely rare, the moment that it happens is mortifying. But there's a way that you can get your supplies to the bathroom and back without anyone noticing.
Supplies: 1 book (that you don't mind destroying), pretty patterned paper, scissors, a ruler, tape, glue, an expo-blade knife, a marker.
1) The book that you chose should be about one inch to two inches thick. This is because you will hollow out the book. Take the book, and trace one side to the patterned paper, rotate to the spine, and trace the other side. So, it should be like two identical rectangles with a long rectangle in the middle, together to form another identical "covering" for the book. Leave a 1-inch border on the side, except for the spine area. Cut this out.
2) Take the patterned paper you just cut, and use tape to secure it over the book, like a makeshift paper book cover you would make for a school textbook. Use the 1-inch border to tape on the inside of the covers to make it more secure.
3) Now, you're gonna make this book extraordinary. Open the book to the first page, and depending on the size of the feminine hygiene items you carry, trace a rectangle on the page with at least a 2 cm
border on each side.
4) Now, lay the book so all the pages are even on the edge, and using the knife, cut through the paper vertically, so the book is hollow. Be careful that it doesn't penetrate the back cover, and leave 1 cm of paper at the bottom without penetration. What you're going for a "box book".
5) Use glue on the inside of the "box" to glue the pages together, and as well as the bottom where the full and hollowed pages meet. Wait for it to dry, and you're ready to go!
